haiku for my discarded apple basket:
this apple basket
once carried empty bottles
to the recycling
and i hope it has gone on to a better place.

That’s some contentious phrasing—ree-SIGH-kling, surely, is your intention, but one could scan it as ree-SIGH-cull-ling instead! Poetry danger!
