Vertice reminds me of when I saw that new Keanu Reeves movie in France - La Matrice! No, I don’t recall when the French subtitle for “woah” is, offhand.

I had a friend whose geometry teacher in high school called a polyhedron ‘a polyhedra’, with the natural consequence that several of those objects become ‘polyhedras’. Then, of course, there is that favourite back-formation ‘vertice’.

In my defense, I didn’t cross root languages altogether and try “ellipsata” or some such.

As for the period following a sentence-terminal ellipsis—is that really how it’s done? Seems a crime.

There are a weird sense of subject-verb disagreement in your sentence. Perhaps you were rather bothered by the ellipsis? — perhaps because, as it terminates a sentence, it ought to have four periods rather than only three?
